Reservation

We highly recommend our guests make a reservation. Those without one may have to wait in line. You can quickly make your reservation here.

We recommend making your reservation one week in advance.

Should you have to cancel your reservation, we request that you do so at least 48 hours in advance.

You can make a reservation on our WhatsApp line (+90 212 393 80 10), via email or at our website.

Your reservation will be cancelled if you are 20 minutes late.

We ask that you inform of us of any changes 48 hours before your reservation. Last-minute changes may be difficult for us to satisfy due to the volume of guests.

Because it takes time to prepare for your treatment, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes ahead of your reservation.

Services

We provide the peshtemal wrap, towels and everything else you will need inside the hammam for your scrub and cleanse. Water and tea are complimentary. A body oil massage is a separate service, and the reservation and pricing are done separately.

Traditional Ottoman bath culture did not include a sauna or pool, and so we do not have these facilities at our hammam.

You’ll spend 15 to 20 minutes relaxing on the hot marble platform, while the scrub takes about 35 to 40 minutes. The total experience is between 1.5 and two hours.

A massage is not included in the bath but can be purchased separately.

Yes. We recommend that you make a reservation in advance to ensure a spot during your visit.

This depends on the availability inside the bath. We do not recommend bathing right after your massage while your skin is still absorbing the oil. You may use the hammam beforehand, but please allow yourself at least 15 minutes between the bath and the massage.

Since Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamamı is a single-domed bathhouse, we cannot serve both genders at the same time. Female attendants work during women’s hours and male attendants during men’s.

In order to maintain a healthy work environment, our employees work regular shifts, in line with standard working hours, so our schedule is fixed.

Unless you are on a special diet, we do not permit outside food and drinks. For birthday celebrations, we provide the cake.

Our woolen washcloths are not disposable. In fact, the more they are used, the better they function. We disinfect them after each use. This also helps us avoid unnecessary waste.

We do not have private rooms. However, halvets - small, arched niches within the hammam - can offer a sense of semi-privacy to small groups.

The reservation time is considered the start of the service. After you check-in and leave the locker area, please go inside the bath and rest upon the marble platform for 15 to 20 minutes to prepare for the scrub.

Please leave your watch and jewellery in a safe locker at reception. the hot, wet bath environment could damage sensitive devices and may obstruct the scrub. We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal property.

After your scrub is completed, you can continue to stay in the warm area depending on the number of other guests. We do not have any time restrictions in the lounge area.

It is recommended to bathe 1-2 hours after eating. If you are very hungry, we recommend a snack before your bath to regulate blood sugar levels.

Glasses will fog up in the warm area, then adjust to the temperature.  Contact lens users have not reported any problems to date, but each person should decide for his or herself whether to keep their lenses in.

You should first consult your doctor about your particular situation.
